eBay sta cercando l'Advertising Manager. Sotto trovate job description e le caratteristiche ricercate.
In sintesi: 2-4 anni di esperienza in concessionarie web o agenzia media, oltre a un profilo personale in linea con eBay ; mi sento di aggiungere che è una posizione molto interessante, con margini di crescita e visibilità anche internazionale. E' una società che crede davvero nel feed back. Decisioni e scelte sono sempre motivate e il livello medio degli intelocutori è molto alto. Tanto per dirne una, il Direttore Marketing temo scriva meglio di me. Qualche brutta persona dirà: "ci vuol poco!". I più intelligenti capiranno il tipo di challenge che rappresenta lavorare per aziende del genere. Mi piacerebbe fosse uno di voi, o amici vostri, ad approfittarne.

 Primary Job Responsibilities

Reporting to the Retention Marketing Manager and working closely with the Int’l team, will manage operational and commercial aspects of eBay Italy's advertising business:

-    Monitor text advertising effectiveness and work with International team to improve revenues while keeping cannibalization under control
o    Detect opportunities for revenue upsides through new formats/placements; test with Intl team to evaluate risks and benefits
o    Own the budget: propose opportunities for upsides, support the Adv manager in the negotiation with the Int’l team, provide timely and accurate revenue forecasts
o    Work closely with other teams –e.g. Product- to monitor impact on the overall budget experience

-    Manage relationship with sales agency for graphical advertising in order to maximize revenue potential of eBay.it by exploiting targeting and other value creation opportunities.
o    Monitor and support/push the sales agency in order to get focus and results throughout the year
o    Check content and CPM of campaigns to secure that they are acceptable of the eBay brand, while maxizing revenues
o    Work with the Int’l team to share best practice, test new formats/placements, express local product needs
o    Own the budget: propose opportunities for upsides, support the Adv manager in the negotiation with the Int’l team, provide timely and accurate revenue forecasts
o    Work closely with other teams –e.g. Product- to monitor impact on the overall budget experience

-    Directly manage negotiations, contractual issues and operations for strategic partnerships in which advertising is sold outside agency relationship.
o    Define the offer in terms of price and planning, negotiate it internally if needed and with the Partner
o    Work with Legal and Accounting Depts to deliver the contract
o    Manage operations

-    Be the advocate for Text and Graphical adv within eBay.it
o    Support positive/neutral acceptance from the user community; work closely with the PR / Community and the Auction team to ensure correct communication towards eBay sellers, monitor reactions and rumors, respond if needed
o    Communicate results and product changes to the other teams (eg Auction, Finance), negotiating compromises if needed

Job Requirements
-    Deep knowledge of the Internet as a media and as an interaction context; basic knowledge of ground technical details. Advanced usage behaviors (e.g. blogging) welcome.
-    Commercial mindset, demonstrated by achievement in the Web advertising world.
-    People and teamwork skills; attitude should be in line with the eBay values and include strong drive towards results as well as a sense of the Company priorities and Community value.
-    Thorough and disciplined planning skills.
 Basic Qualifications

-    University degree with demonstrable competences in quantitative methods.
-    3-4 years Web advertising sales or buying experience, at least one in Italy. High reputation within the industry welcome.
-    Very good usage of the English language: ability to negotiate business plans in person and over the phone
-    Basic knowledge of search engine marketing.
